Drosera nidiformisThe Botanical Ninja
Drosera nidiformis is an easy to grow tropical sundew. This carnivorous plant is found in South Africa but can thrive in a wide range of temperatures, making it a great starter plant.
Drosera nidiformis generally stays small making it a great plant to grow indoors on a sunny windowsill. D. nidiformis will live for many years and will flower regularly and produce tons of seeds, but allowing it to flower often may cause it to die.
The leafs are shaped liked spoons where the end of each are covered in the classic sticky sundew tentacles. When it catches prey, it curls its tentacle around the insect like a little hand curling around it. The flower it produces is light pink and it will produce several flowers on one stalk.
Medium to large size plants will be shipped bare root; potting and growing instructions will be emailed after purchase.
